Thomas J. Lloyd III

Law Practice

Mr. Lloyd is an Idaho native, born and raised in eastern Idaho. An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Lloyd grew up with a strong appreciation for the quality of life and the sense of community that Idaho has to offer. These qualities drew him back following law school in the East Coast.

Mr. Lloyd pursued his legal education in our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., and obtained his Juris Doctorate at The George Washington University Law School in 2007. During law school, Mr. Lloyd supplemented his formal education with practical experience working both at a small civil litigation firm in Washington, D.C., and at the D.C. Employment Justice Center, a non-profit organization that serves underrepresented workers. Additionally, in his last summer of law school, Mr. Lloyd externed with the Boise office of Idaho Legal Aid, where he increased his practical and in-court experience representing victims of domestic and sexual abuse.

After graduating, Mr. Lloyd practiced with a Boise civil litigation firm, primarily in personal injury and employment law. Mr. Lloyd brings this wealth of experience to GB+S, where he focuses his practice on complex litigation over a wide range of subjects, including employment, products liability, business contracts, business transactions, corporations, real estate, eminent domain, and commercial paper. Mr. Lloyd represents major national banks, real estate development partnerships, national and international corporations, local business owners, and individuals.

In addition to the practice of law, Mr. Lloyd believes strongly in the importance of community involvement as a tool for both personal development and societal stewardship. He is currently the President of the Board of Directors of Giraffe Laugh, Inc., a non-profit childhood development organization in Boise. He also participates in and contributes to a number of local organizations dedicated to maximizing and preserving the livability of Boise.

In 2009, Mr. Lloyd was recognized by the Idaho Business Review’s Accomplished Under 40 award as an up and coming leader in the community based on his various activities and commitments.
