The Constitutions of both Idaho and the United States each allow the government to acquire private property for public use, but only under certain conditions. The attorneys at GBSO have the resources and experience to negotiate with and, if necessary, litigate against governmental entities when they assert the power of eminent domain without respecting the rights of the private property owner. We have represented churches, businesses, farms, developers, landowners and homeowners in negotiating and fighting for fair and just compensation for all land taken, as well as reducing unnecessary invasion of private property.
